Amelinda Trefethen
"Magic is my specialty..."
Amelinda Trefethen runs the local flower shop in Autumn Lake. Her father was known as "The Great Trefethen," a magician of moderate to marginal ability. During grade school, Lindy accompanied her father on his last European tour, and when he passed away, she carried on the act by herself. While in a London magic shop, she found a rabbit at half-price (because his ears were bent). Her bunny, Mr. Buttons, is still part of her act.
Lindy reappeared in town after being gone for several years. Offended that Dennis and Mark did not recognize her, Lindy refused to tell them who she was. Dennis obsessed over the identity of the mysterious "Miss X" for weeks. On the brink of insanity, Dennis finally recognized Lindy, the girl he used to steal cookies from at recess.
