Christine is the town "princess." More self-centered that a black sun, Chris believes that all things revolve around her and her beauty (her ego stands in for gravity in this analogy). Because she believes no one is truly worthy of her affections, Christine ironically finds herself spending many evenings alone at home, and wonders why.
