A cranberry raft...?
This is so true. I remember when I was little I really used to think the cranberry bog floated (it was, after all, surrounded by water!). I was very surprised the first time I jumped on one that the cranberry bog was actually solidly anchored to the ground.
And I suspect the Real Dennis might take the dim view of this activity that his cartoonic counterpart has.
In New Englandy News, a hydropower plant in Orono, ME that was pretty much abandoned is being refitted for use. In addition to adding some 20,000 megawatt-hours of electricity every year to the state, the reopened facillity will also help bring more fish into the Penobscot River.
And in Space News, new research using water may help prove Stephen Hawking's theory that black holes aren't really black.
More cranberry bog related webcomcikry is on tap for tomorrow, same bat-time, same bat-channel!
